Grove City police said a male suspect made off with about $140 in cash he took around 8:47 p.m. Feb. 24 from a cash register at a store in the 1600 block of Stringtown Road.
The store manager provided a surveillance video of the incident the next day, reports stated.
The video shows the man walking up to the checkout with paint brushes to purchase. He handed the clerk three $1 bills to pay for the $2.50 purchase. When the clerk opened the cash drawer, the man attempted to grab money from the drawer, according to reports.
The clerk pushed the suspect's hands away and he responded by pushing her away from the register with his left forearm, reports stated. The suspect grabbed the money and fled the store.

* A Grove City man told police his car was stolen Feb. 27 from the parking lot of a store in the 2100 block of Stringtown Road.
The man said he allowed his girlfriend to use the car to go shopping at the store. He said when she came out of the store, the car was gone.
The man's girlfriend contacted police separately to report the car was stolen. She told an officer she had gone into the store and found the vehicle missing when she returned.
She said she saw a woman with a male passenger driving the car on Stringtown Road, according to reports.
An officer reviewed store video which showed the man's girlfriend never entered the store, reports stated. When he asked her about the discrepancy, she changed her story and said she had gone to the front of the building but did not go inside the store, according to reports.
The victim was advised of the conflicting details and while he said he wasn't sure what may have happened, he wanted to file a report about the car having been stolen.
* A resident in the 4800 block of Primrose Court reported Feb. 20 that a diamond ring, valued at $3,000, was stolen from her bedroom dresser.
