A thief got away with a furnace after entering a residence under construction in Orange Township earlier this month.

A man contacted the Delaware County Sheriff's Office the morning of March 5 to report a theft occurred between 7:15 a.m. March 2 and 9 a.m. March 5 in the 500 block of Wintergreen Way.

Someone stole a furnace valued at $1,500 from the residence, according to sheriff's reports.

Duct work sustained $600 worth of damage during the theft, reports said.

Investigators reportedly have not identified any suspects.

* Deputies responded to a report of a theft in progress shortly after 12:15 p.m. March 2 at a business in the 8700 block of Owenfield Drive in Orange Township. Someone stole tools valued at $628 from the business, according to sheriff's reports.

Deputies arrested a 40-year-old Reynoldsburg man on a charge of theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, reports said.

* An employee of a business in the 8800 block of Columbus Pike in Orange Township reported a theft occurred between 1:45 and 2 p.m. March 8. Someone reportedly stole clothing valued at $108 from the business.

Deputies arrested a 26-year-old Worthington woman on a charge of theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, reports said.

* A woman reported a theft took place between 10:30 and 11:15 a.m. March 3 at a business in the 100 block of Neverland Drive in Orange Township. Someone stole a cellphone worth $90, according to sheriff's reports.

* A man reported a theft from a vehicle occurred between 3 and 6:45 a.m. March 6 in the 6500 block of Irish Hills Drive in Concord Township. Someone broke one of the car's windows and stole a purse valued at $30, reports said.
