A Hilliard man is scheduled to appear April 13 for a preliminary hearing in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas on drug-related charges.

The Hilliard Division of Police on March 29 seized methamphetamine, marijuana, pills and drug paraphernalia after officers used a search warrant at a residence at 2676 Westwind Court in Hilliard.

Alex M. Davidson, 27, who lives at the house, was charged with possession of drugs, a third-degree felony, according to Franklin County Municipal Court records.

Davidson was arraigned March 31 and released on his own recognizance, pending the April 13 preliminary hearing, according to court records.

Municipal-court records also show Davidson has a prior arrest record.

Grove City Division of Police officers arrested Davidson in November 2017 for misdemeanor possession and sale of drug paraphernalia and in 2016, the Ohio State Highway Patrol arrested him for misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, records indicate.

The March 29 arrest and seizure was the result of “community collaboration,” Hilliard officer Hyda Slone said.

No other information about Hilliard’s investigation was available.
