Whitehall will play host to a town-hall meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at the Walter Armes Learning Center inside Whitehall-Yearling High School, 675 S. Yearling Road.

The public meeting is the latest hosted by Whitehall police Chief Mike Crispen as part of "A Safer Whitehall" initiative launched last year.

The first town-hall meeting was held last June at Victory Ministries Center of Hope, followed by another late last year at Westphal Avenue Baptist Church.

The first this year was held in February at New Life Church, 441 S. Yearling Road.

The quarterly meetings feature a different topic each time, said Kaitlin King, community affairs manager for Whitehall.

Crispen is scheduled to speak at the meeting with a representative from the Center for Family Safety and Healing.

The meeting will focus on safety improvements being made in the community and how residents can actively help in continuing to progress, King said.
