Central Ohio’s third Katzinger’s location will be in the Shops on Muirfield, taking over two vacant storefronts adjacent to Napa Kitchen + Bar.
Tim Rollins, president of CityBrands, which owns Napa, Katzinger’s and other restaurant concepts, said a fall opening is planned for the 4,000-square-foot deli.
Rollins, also a co-founder of local developer Metropolitan Partners, said it would be similar to the original Katzinger’s at 475 S. Third St. in German Village but with an expanded specialty-grocery section and full-service deli.
CityBrands, the restaurant division of Metropolitan Partners, bought Katzinger’s in 2016 from founder Diane Warren. A smaller version, Katzinger’s Little Deli, is in the North Market.
The original deli is known for its extensive list of sandwiches and sides, plus artisan cheeses, meats and other boutique-grocery items.
The Dublin store is expected to seat about 80.
Meanwhile, CityBrands is getting ready to open a second Napa Kitchen + Bar in about a month in the Cincinnati suburb of Montgomery.
