A resident of the 900 block of Northwest Boulevard told Grandview Heights police May 23 his garage had been broken into.
A socket wrench set, power tools, fishing reels and two trash cans, together worth $1,569, were reported stolen.
In other recent Grandview police reports:
* A resident of the 900 block of Oxley Road reported May 26 that someone keyed the side and hood of his car overnight. The man said it was the second time in the last several months his car had been scratched.
* A resident of the 1200 block of Hope Avenue reported May 30 that a graduation banner, valued at $100, was stolen from her front yard.
* Officers responded May 19 to a business in the 800 block of Grandview Avenue on a report of a break-in. An employee told police he discovered the door to the business was smashed and the cash drawer was open when he arrived for work at 8:55 a.m.
The business owner arrived and reported nothing had been taken from the building.
