Whitehall police charged a 17-year-old girl May 31 in connection with an assault at Beechwood Elementary School, 455 Beechwood Road.
Officers met the victim in the lobby of the Whitehall Police Department the previous day, where the victim recounted an assault that occurred at the school May 29.
The victim, a 16-year-old girl, told police she and an 18-year-old woman went to the school about 8 p.m. May 29 to "hang out."
The victim told police when she saw the suspect, she attempted to leave, but another juvenile blocked her, after which the female suspect taunted her, then punched her in the head and grabbed her hair.
After the victim fell to the ground, the suspect continued to punch her in the head, police said.
Another juvenile eventually pulled the suspect away and the victim walked to a residence, reports said.
Witnesses corroborated the victim's account and police also had access to a video of the incident that confirms statements that the female suspect was the aggressor, police said.
In addition to charges of assault, a first-degree misdemeanor, the girl was issued a no-trespassing order that prohibits her from being on all Whitehall school property until Aug. 20, according to reports.
