Gahanna police recently responded to a complaint about a dog being left in a parking lot in the 600 block of McCutcheon Road as someone sped off in a vehicle, according to a report received at 8:59 p.m. May 31.

The caller said the dog began chasing the car. Once the driver noticed the caller watching, he stopped the car and let the dog in, reports said. The caller expressed concern the man in the car might attempt to dump the dog again. Police reported they contacted the vehicle owner and advised him of the complaint. He showed police his dog, which was fine. He said he takes the dog to the area occasionally and lets him out in the parking lot to run after the car for exercise, reports said. He said he would never drop the dog off. The animal appeared to be in good health and was well fed, according to reports.

* A resident found a bullet stuck in the siding at the rear of a Garston Court residence, according to a report received at 8:23 a.m. June 6.

* Eight packs of razors and miscellaneous cosmetics were stolen from a business on North Hamilton Road, according to a report received at 3:20 p.m. June 5.

* A Trafalgar Court resident said a neighbor to the rear of his residence cut down his hedges, according to a report received at 8:11 p.m. June 4.

* Packages were stolen from a Riva Ridge Boulevard porch, according to a report received at 1:08 p.m. June 4.

* Mailboxes were damaged on Harrison Pond Drive, according to a report received at 11:43 p.m. June 2.

* A television was taken from the back of a vehicle on Faye Drive, according to a report received at 9:30 p.m. June 2.

* An employee of an apartment complex on Vista Drive asked to speak to an officer regarding drug paraphernalia she found in an apartment, according to a report received at 11:22 a.m. June 2. Mason jars and a large bucket were found, and it appears the owner was making his own alcohol, reports stated. Police advised it was safe to discard the items, reports said.

* A wallet was stolen from a vehicle on Autumn Rush Court, according to a report received at 11:55 a.m. June 1. A suitcase that also was stolen was recovered, reports said.

* Eyeglasses, valued at $250, were stolen from a vehicle on Arbors Circle, according to a report received at 10:22 a.m. June 1.

* A wallet was stolen from a Dunoon Drive vehicle, according to a report received at 7:55 a.m. June 1. It was found by another resident on Dunoon Drive and returned to the owner, reports said.

* A bicycle was stolen from a Dunoon Drive residence overnight, according to a report received at 7:55 a.m. June 1.

* Several vehicles were rummaged through on Dunoon Drive and Morrison Road, according to reports received between 3:02 and 3:42 a.m. June 1. Cars also were rummaged through on Arbors Circle, Hemston Drive, Waterbury Boulevard and Lytton Way according to reports received between 3:56 and 4:24 a.m. that day. Nothing appears to have been taken, reports said.

* Multiple mailboxes were destroyed on Riva Ridge Boulevard and Venetian Way, according to a report received at 7:21 a.m. May 31.
