Authorities have identified Dwain Starks as the man who died after the riding lawn mower he was using went into a pond at Rocky Fork Hunt and Country Club on the afternoon of June 8.

The Franklin County sheriff's office and Mifflin Township Division of Fire received a call that a riding lawn mower was in the water at the Gahanna-area private sports club, 5189 Clark State Road.

Divers pulled Starks, 52, of Columbus, from the water and he was taken in critical condition to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, where he died.

Starks was an employee of the club, officials said. The incident is still under investigation.

A GoFundMe account has been created in memory of Starks, who leaves behind a daughter. The funds raised through the GoFundMe campaign will go toward funeral expenses and taking care of his daughter, according to the page.
