Grandview Heights police filed felony charges Wednesday, June 20, against three people in connection with a drug overdose that occurred in March at their home and resulted in the death of a 17-year-old Dublin resident.
Haleah Myers died April 4 after suffering a drug overdose March 31 at 1273 Broadview Ave.
Police filed warrants June 20 against William Alexander, 44, and Shirley Alexander, 67, of 1273 Broadview. William Alexander was charged with a felony count of possession of drugs. Shirley Alexander was charged with a felony count of permitting drug abuse.
Both were arrested June 20 and taken to the Franklin County jail.
A third suspect, Caleb Alexander, 20, was located in Dayton and taken into custody. He was charged with a felony count of tampering with evidence. He is being held in the Montgomery County jail.
An investigation is continuing and police reported additional criminal charges are pending.
Because of the ongoing investigation, police are not releasing additional details at this time.
Officers and paramedics responded just before 3:30 a.m. March 31 to the Alexanders' Broadview Avenue home on a report of an unconscious person.
Myers was taken to OSU Hospital, where she died April 4.
According to the March 31 police report, officers seized evidence at the scene, including various drugs and drug paraphernalia.
