An employee of Save-A-Lot, 573 S. Yearling Road, told Whitehall police a man threatened to kill him after he confronted two women who allegedly attempted to steal merchandise from the store at 5:45 p.m. June 24.

The store manager told police he saw two women and a man pushing a cart containing unpaid merchandise from the store.

Upon being confronted, the man pushed the cart into the employee and said, "I will kill you," according to reports.

The man reportedly grabbed a case of bacon worth $150 and ran away. The two women ran in a different direction, reports said.

In other recent Whitehall police reports:

* A 33-year-old woman told Whitehall police she caught two unknown men in her vehicle at 12:15 p.m. June 20 in the 200 block of North Yearling Road.

The woman confronted the men and followed them as they walked away, using her cellphone to call police, until one of the suspects reportedly lifted a shirt to display a gun.

The suspects took $5 from her vehicle, according to reports.

* Police arrested a 23-year-old Whitehall woman for burglary at 2:15 a.m. June 27 in the 5000 block of Dimson Drive South.

Burglaries also were reported at 7:45 a.m. June 26 in the 1100 block of Shady Lane Road; and at 12:30 p.m. June 26 in the 4700 block of Harbinger Circle East.

* Thefts were reported at 2:35 p.m. June 25 in the 900 block of Exeter Road; at 6:05 p.m. June 25 in the 100 block of Parklawn Boulevard; and at 7:40 p.m. June 25 in the 600 block of Westphal Avenue.

* Assaults were reported at 12:55 p.m. June 26 in the 4700 block of East Main Street; and at 6:50 p.m. June 26 in the 4200 block of East Broad Street.

* Property destruction was reported at 12:15 p.m. June 25 in the 1000 block of Westphal Avenue; and 4 p.m. June 25 in the 600 block of Westphal Avenue.

* Police responded to a report of shots fired at 10:30 p.m. June 24 at East Broad Street and Woodcliff Drive.
