The Harrison County Fair Open Dairy Show was held Thursday, June 28, at the fairgrounds in Cadiz. The ribbons were placed on 62 dairy animals, all breeds, by Judge Randall Kiko, R & P Kiko Farms, Salem.

The Jersey Grand Champion and Senior Champion was Conno-Q Eclipse Cincy, a five year old cow shown by Clarkehills Farm, Brennen Clarke and Family, Gnadenhutten. She is sired by Maack Dairy Eclipse-P. The Reserve Grand and Reserve Senior Champion Jersey was a two year old shown by Silver-D Farm. Jersey Junior Champion was a senior yearling, Entourage Venom Spark, sired by Pleasant Nook WR Tequilas Venom, and shown by Clarkehills Farm. Reserve Junior Champion was the junior calf, Clarkehills Fizz Sweet Caroline, also shown by Clarkehills Farm, and sired by J-Kay Tequila Fizz.

Milking Shorthorn Grand Champion and Senior Champion was the three year old cow, Karlis Scarlet, sired by Kulp-Gen Jurist Ace, and shown by Clarkehills Farm, Brennen Clark and Family, Gnadenhutten. Junior Champion Milking Shorthorn was the junior yearling, Smart Bluejay Luxury, shown by Clarkehills Farm and sired by Weissway Bluejay EXP.

The Guernsey Junior Champion was the senior yearling, Nicley’s Comets Hazel of CF-ETV shown by Clarkehills Farm and sired by Ripley Farms Aaron Cordell. The Ayrshire Junior Champion was the junior yearling, Ollie Dealer’s Damsel sired by Ollie jack Daniels and shown by Clarkehills Farm.

The Brown Swiss Junior Champion was the summer yearling, Rip Vale Rich Platinum, shown by Rip-Vale Farm, Amber Ripley, Wellsburg, West Virginia and sired by Jo-Dee Nomo Richard. Reserve Brown Swiss Junior Champion was the junior calf, Rip Vale Barnabas Gretzie, shown by Rip Vale Farm and sired by Jars of Clay Barnabas.

Grand Champion and Senior Champion Red and White was the three year old, San-Mar Carson Marci, sired by MD-Valley Carson-Red, and shown by MNJ Holsteins, Mark and Jenn Bardall, Tippecanoe. Junior Champion Red and White was the junior calf, Rip Vale Rager Big Red-Red, sired by Ri-Val-Re Rager-Red, and shown by Rip Vale Farm, Amber Ripley, Wellsburg, West Virginia. Reserve Junior Champion Red and White was the summer yearling, MNJ Defiant Marilyn shown by MNJ Holsteins and sired by Scientific Defiant.

Grand Champion and Senior Champion of the Holstein show was the three year old, Hardingdale Gold Kisha-ET, shown by Hardingdale Holsteins, Jared Harding and Family, New Philadelphia. She is sired by Braedale Goldwyn. Reserve Grand Champion and Reserve Senior Champion was the aged cow, Lofty Meadow Calculate Sweet Pea-ET, sired by Lawcrest Calculate-ET, and shown by Lofty Meadow Farm, Josh Kemp and Family, Belmont. Junior Champion Holstein was the fall calf, HD MS Diamondback Abagail, sired by MR D Apple Diamondback, shown by Hardingdale Holsteins. Reserve Junior Champion was the second place fall calf, Lofty Meadows Windhammer Markey, sired by Gillette Windhammer, and shown by Lofty Meadow Farm.

For the Supreme Grand Champion of All Breeds award, Judge Kiko chose the Holstein, Hardingdale Gold Kisha, shown by Jared Harding, Hardingdale Holsteins. Reserve Supreme Grand Champion of All Breeds was the Red and White, San Mar Carson Marci shown by Mark and Jenn Bardall, MNJ Holsteins.

Named Supreme Junior Champion of All Breeds was the Holstein, HD MS Diamondback Abagail shown by Jared Harding, Hardingdale Holsteins. Reserve Supreme Junior Champion of All Breeds was the Milking Shorthorn, Smart Bluejay Luxury shown by Brennen Clarke and Family, Clarkehills Farm. The Harrison County Dairy Board was in charge of the open show.
