More than in $8,000 in equipment was reported stolen from a New Albany construction site.

The theft was reported at 10:40 a.m. July 2 in the 5000 block of Forest Drive, according to the New Albany Police Department.

A roof welder, which was valued at $8,800, was reported stolen, said New Albany Sgt. Joel Strahler.

In other recent New Albany police incident reports:

* A 25-year-old Newark resident was cited for possession of controlled substances and illegal use or possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 3:51 p.m. July 8 at state Route 161 and Kitzmiller Road.

* A 31-year-old Pataskala resident was arrested for OVI after a traffic stop at 12:49 a.m. July 8 at state Route 161 and Beech Road.

* A Camden Drive resident at 1:10 p.m. July 7 told police someone used his identity to purchase items with his PayPal account and withdraw money from his savings account.

* A 23-year-old Xenia woman was cited for possession of controlled substances after police searched her disabled vehicle at 8:41 p.m. July 5 at East Dublin-Granville Road and Walnut Alley.
