An 86-year-old man reported at 7:58 a.m. July 12 a dog had bitten him at his residence in the 1600 block of Pickering Court. The reporting officer said the same kind of incident occurred a month ago.
The man said his son's dog bit him on the arms and hands when he tried to let the dog outside.
He was transported to Mount Carmel East with puncture wounds from the bites, according to the police report.
Franklin County Animal Control took control of the dog, a 3-year-old bloodhound, which will be quarantined for a period of time, according to the police report.

* A restaurant manager called 911 after she said two girls threatened her with a knife before paying for their meal.
According to the police report, officers were called at 8:02 p.m. July 7 to a restaurant in the 13000 block of Reynoldsburg-Baltimore Road.
The girls left before officers arrived, but the manager said one of the girls indicated she had a knife in her purse. She said the girls told her they would not pay 25 cents extra for sauce for their meal.
The manager told police the girls left in a gold Chrysler 300.
* Police received a call about a fight between two men at 5:41 p.m. July 7 at a restaurant in the 1900 block of Reynoldsburg-Baltimore Road. According to the report, a man said he was assaulted outside the restaurant by "someone who almost backed into him."
Witnesses said the man's wife was trying to restrain him. When officers arrived, one man was inside the restaurant eating and the other man wanted to leave. Both parties declined charges against each other.
* A resident reported at 10:53 p.m. July 12 that two cars parked at his house in the 6800 block of Shaulis Drive were broken into. The man said a book bag and stethoscope were stolen from his wife's car, and a number of DVDs and headphones were stolen from his truck.
* A 38-year-old Columbus man was arrested at 3:32 a.m. July 8 and charged with OVI after officers stopped his car in the 1400 block of Rosehill Road.
