Westerville Division of Police officers reportedly found a credit-card “skimmer” on an ATM at a CVS Pharmacy at 620 S. Cleveland Ave. on July 13.

Skimming devices are designed to steal credit-card information from customers who insert their card.

“People who may have used this machine are urged to check their accounts and report any suspicious withdrawals or transactions,” according to a press release.

No illegal activity other than the placement of the skimmer has been reported.

Westerville police recommend visiting the FBI’s website to learn more about skimmers at fbi.gov/news/stories/atm-skimming.
