A third-party contractor is connected to two reported thefts at 1:51 p.m. and 4:09 p.m. July 10 at a business in the 6300 block of Fitch Path, according to the New Albany Police Department.

A 41-year-old Columbus woman was cited for theft in the first incident, according to the police report. Items stolen were clothing and personal effects valued at $30, said Sgt. Joel Strahler. The second case still is under investigation but lists the same suspect, Strahler said. The case involved a wallet, credit cards and a driver's license, he said.

In other recent New Albany police incident reports:

* A theft was reported at 2:42 p.m. July 12 in the 1500 block of Beech Road Southwest. Eighty-nine pounds of cut copper valued at $246.53 were removed from the job site at the location, Strahler said.
