A Westerville woman called police after she discovered someone had shot a bullet through the walls of her apartment.
According to reports, the woman was in her apartment in the first block of Scott Court around 8 p.m. July 8 when she noticed some drywall on the floor.
When she investigated, she found a hole that led through framing around her kitchen window and bathroom door, reports stated. She told police she called the apartment complex's maintenance worker to assess the damage.
The maintenance worker reportedly followed the trajectory of the hole outside and found a 9-mm shell casing on the ground next to a neighbor's apartment.
Police interviewed the residents of the apartment next door, who reportedly had no idea about the bullet.
According to reports, the bullet will be tested and the investigation is ongoing.
