Reynoldsburg police officers responded to a dog-bite complaint and found a man bleeding from a bite to his face and a possible broken nose.

Truro Township Fire Department medics and police officers arrived at 10:35 a.m. July 22 and found the man injured at his residence in the 600 block of Gilmore Drive.

The man told police his dog had bitten him in the face. He said he had owned the dog for about a year, but was cutting the dog's back nails when the dog suddenly turned and bit him, according to the police report. Medics evaluated the man's injuries and said he had a possible broken nose. The man's wife transported him to an OhioHealth emergency facility.

* A woman reported hearing what sounded like six shots fired at 6:33 p.m. July 23 in a ravine area near her residence in the 7500 block of Deer Park Way. Officers checked and cleared the area but found no evidence of shots fired or a suspect with a gun.

* A woman reported at 5:48 p.m. July 20 that someone stole her black 1996 Lexus when it was parked in front of a residence in the 500 block of Postwoods Drive.

* Officers arrested an 18-year-old Columbus man for shoplifting at 3:34 p.m. July 23 from a business in the 2700 block of Taylor Road Southwest.

The next day, officers arrested a 25-year-old Columbus man for shoplifting at 2:03 p.m. July 24 from the same business. Loss-prevention officers told police the man was observed shoving four videos down his basketball pants and then attempting to exit the store.
