People have smashed just about every kind of condiment between two pieces of bread, including potato chips, coleslaw and spaghetti. But there's never been a trend, at least one we've heard of, involving adding popcorn.
ThisWeek staffers answer the question: Would you ever put popcorn on a sandwich?
Dennis Laycock: Yes, a sandwich of my hand and my face.
Lisa Proctor: Popcorn should only be enjoyed with a drizzle of butter.
Nate Ellis: I don't put chips on sandwiches as a practice, so I probably wouldn't put popcorn on a sandwich often. But, yeah, I'd do it.
Andrew King: That doesn’t feel like a good idea.
Scott Hummel: Not intentionally. Why would I do that?
Neil Thompson: I think I've already done this somewhere but it obviously wasn't that memorable.
Abby Armbruster: I don't think I would like that aesthetic. Potato chips? Yes. Popcorn? No.
Sarah Sole: Never say never. Maybe with peanut butter.
Lee Cochran: Never have considered that. I don't even go as far as to put chips on mine. I'll keep to pickles and peppers on my sandwiches.
