The opening of the Graeter’s Ice Cream shop at 5410 Scioto Darby Road in Hilliard has been rescheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, according to Sarah Walters of RMD Advertising, which represents Graeter’s.

The grand opening had been scheduled at 11 a.m. Aug. 3, but was delayed because of construction delays, she said.

As an opening promotion, the shop will offer a free single-dip sugar cone from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned at 11 a.m.

The 2,500-square-foot standalone Graeter’s is being built on the west side of High School Drive, where three buildings were demolished last year to make way for it. It is between Main Street and High School Drive.

The Hilliard shop will be the 12th in central Ohio and 56th overall.
