Readers of all ages were eligible for some terrific prizes by taking part in Worthington Libraries' 2018 Summer Reading Club, which ran May 29 to July 29.

Rather than wait until the program's end to award all prizes, summer readers of all ages could qualify each week to win one of eight $25 gift cards for such places as AMC Theaters, iTunes, Barnes and Noble and Dairy Queen.

At Old Worthington Library, 820 High St., weekly raffle winners were Tosuf Ahmed, Hudson Carruthers, Patricia Ewing, Evan Keeler, Emma Kim, Kara Kish, Kanyae Lees, Sebastian Lovely, Haley McMullen, Emory Neizgona, Riley O'Neill, Sophia Taylor, Jensen Walton, Greer Webster, Connor Willis and Brian Wyas.

At Northwest Library, 2280 Hard Road, weekly winners included Saif Al-Kazaz, Emery Campbell, Gloria Chiang, Ben Davis, Jack Dougherty, Darryl Goodman, Eliana Gritter, Michelle Hammett, Darine Hawatmeh, Naomi Hoover, Pranathi Irrinki, Laura Lesueur, Ben Lloyd, Melissa McMillen, Declan McNamara and Talia Vogel.

Worthington Park Library, 1389 Worthington Centre Drive, awarded gift cards to Rhoda Alejandro, Grace Battles, Rachel Forney, Lisa Keisel, Jim McKee, Evelyn Miller, Jack Monahan, Annabell Moses, Ria Mota, Zachary Pantchev, Andrea Pelcastre, Samuel Roettger, Sarafina Shaw, Isaac Soosai and Silas Wright.

Three bicycles were awarded to local children ages 5 and younger who completed 7 1/2 hours or more of reading. Nora Jolley was the winner of the bike raffle at Old Worthington Library, Charlotte Lorenz was the winner at Northwest Library and Callie Sandman was the winner at Worthington Park Library.

Three more bicycles were awarded to children ages 6 to 11 who completed 10 hours or more of reading. The recipients were Lucas Bernardi at Old Worthington Library, Chetana Killada at Northwest Library and Francesca Longerbone at Worthington Park Library.

Teens had to read for at least 15 hours to be eligible for this year's grand prize drawing -- Beats by Dre headphones at each library location. Winners were Katrina Kauffman at Old Worthington Library, Suhani Arya at Northwest Library and Bhavya Sagi at Worthington Park Library.

Adults were eligible to win one of three $100 Target gift cards, if they read for at least 15 hours. Prizes were won by Ada So at Old Worthington Library, Malorie Coffman at Northwest Library and Megan VanFossen at Worthington Park Library.

The 2018 Summer Reading Club was funded by the Friends Foundation of Worthington Libraries.
