A few road closures are slated for an annual half- and quarter-marathon event in Dublin on Sunday, Aug. 26.
The OhioHealth Emerald City Half & Quarter Marathon courses start and end on Perimeter Drive, just west of Avery Muirfield Drive.
The sold-out event is slated to include 3,500 runners and walkers, according to a news release from M3S Sports.
The courses -- 13.1 and 6.55-miles, respectively – start at 7 a.m. and wind through Glacier Ridge Metro Park, according to the M3S Sports website for the event: www.emeraldcityhalfmarathon.com.
Several roads will be closed in and around the city along the route, according to a news release from the city.
Roads will reopen along the course after participants are through those areas, according to the city’s release. Roads are expected to reopen by 11 a.m.
From 4 to 11 a.m., both lanes of Perimeter Drive will be closed from Avery-Muirfield Drive to Hospital Drive.
From 6:45 to 11 a.m., drivers will be able to make only right turns from Perimeter Drive eastbound onto Hospital Drive. Both lanes of Hyland-Croy Road will be closed between Corazon Drive and Post Road. Intermittent closures will occur on Post Road at Perimeter Drive and on Post Preserve Boulevard at Post Road.
From 6:45 to 9:45 a.m., the westbound lane of Corazon Drive will be closed from Hyland-Croy Road to Jerome/Manley Road.
From 7:30 to 9 a.m., both lanes of Jerome/Manley will be closed between Corazon and McKitrick Road.
From 8 to 10 a.m., both lanes of McKitrick will be closed from Jerome/Manley to Hyland-Croy.
From 10:15 to 11 a.m., both lanes of Mitchell-Dewitt Road will be closed between Celtic Crossing Drive and Hyland-Croy. Intermittent closures will occur on Mitchell-Dewitt at Hyland-Croy.
From 10:45 to 11 a.m., intermittent closures will occur on Tullymore Drive at Hyland-Croy.
Police will be on site for assistance with traffic.
