Police officers took three reports of recent thefts from vehicles in Marble Cliff.

A resident of the 1400 block of Roxbury Road reported Aug. 25 that computer hardware and software were stolen from vehicles parked at her home between 11 p.m. Aug. 24 and 8 a.m. Aug. 25. Total loss was $800.

A resident of the 1300 block of Cambridge Boulevard told police Aug. 25 that his car had been rummaged through overnight and a backpack was stolen. The backpack later was recovered in the side yard of the residence with the contents dumped on the ground. Nothing else was reported stolen.

A man reported four vehicles parked at his home in the 1200 block of Cambridge were entered early Aug. 25.

All four vehicles were unlocked. Two backpacks and some change were reported stolen. One of the backpacks was found on the south side of the residence, reports said.

In other area police reports:

* A resident of the 1500 block of Roxbury Road reported Aug. 24 that a watch, a diamond ring, a diamond bracelet and a gold necklace, as well as prescription medication, were stolen from a jewelry box in her bedroom. The woman said she noticed the ring was missing at the end of July and further inspection revealed the other items also had been stolen. Total loss was $16,001, reports said.

* A resident of the 900 block of Quay Avenue reported her bicycle, valued at $400, was stolen. She said she last saw the bike at 4:30 a.m. Aug. 26 and discovered it was gone when she returned home at 11 a.m.
