The Ohio State University Marching Band practices on the field Sept. 12, 1985, in preparation for the first night game played at Ohio Stadium.

The set up of the lights was completed the following day.

On Sept. 14, the Buckeyes opened the season with a 10-7 victory over the University of Pittsburgh in a game that started at 8:08 p.m.

The next night game was played eight years later, on Sept. 11, 1993, when Ohio State defeated Washington 21-12.
