Police arrested a 26-year-old Columbus man at 11:25 p.m. Aug. 28 as he was breaking into the fire-damaged and closed Days Inn & Suites at 2100 Brice Road.

The man was charged with criminal trespassing and failure to leave.

In other Reynoldsburg police reports:

* A 22-year-old woman told police she was bitten by a dog around 7:56 p.m. Aug. 22 in the 7400 block of East Broad Street. The woman declined medical attention, then her mother came forward to say her daughter had not been bitten, but only knocked down by a dog that was off-leash.

Officers advised the woman that unless a dog bite occurs, no charges could be filed.

* A resident in the 2000 block of Commons Road reported at 10:19 a.m. Aug. 18 that he and his dog were attacked by a dog roaming his neighborhood. The man knew where the offender lived, but the dog's owner did not answer the doorbell, police said.

* A store manager reported a suspicious man at 5:47 p.m. Aug. 25 at a business in the 6300 block of East Livingston Avenue. Police charged a 42-year-old Columbus man with theft and obstruction of official business.
