Following are Columbus and Franklin County Metropolitan Park District programs for Sept. 13-20.

Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

1775 Darby Creek Drive, Galloway

Feed the Stream, 1 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Nature Center. Visitors can enjoy the fish-feeding frenzy by feeding them worms, crickets and minnows.

Blacklick Woods Metro Park

6975 E. Livingston Ave., Reynoldsburg

Metro Five-0: Level 1 Nature Tram, 3 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Nature Center. Guests ages 50 and older can take a tram ride through the park.

Nature Tram, 11 a.m. Sept. 15 at Ash Grove Picnic Area. Take a tram ride through the park.

Bugs and Blooms, 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Nature Center. Visitors will take a 2-mile walk to see fall wildflowers and the insects that visit them.

Blendon Woods Metro Park

4265 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Westerville

Pawpaw Prowl, 2 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Nature Center. Guests can walk 2 miles on the woodland trails to look for pawpaws.

Singing Insects, 8 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Nature Center. Guests can walk 2 miles on the trails and listen to the signing insects.

Preschoolers: Oh Deer!, 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. Sept. 17 and 18 at the Nature Center. Guests can discover white-tailed deers through activities, story and craft.

Glacier Ridge Metro Park

9801 Hyland Croy Road, Plain City

Tyke Hike, 10 a.m. Sept. 19 at the Shelter House. Guests can bring their infant or toddler, ages 4 and younger, for a slow-paced walk.

Highbanks Metro Park

9466 U.S. Route 23 N., Lewis Center

Preschoolers: Camouflage, 9:30 and 11 a.m. Sept. 13 at the Nature Center. Guests can learn how animals stay hidden in the forest.

Homestead

4675 Cosgray Road, Hilliard

Girl Scout Days: Brownies Bugs, Sept. 15. Children ages 6-9 can participate in activities that help fulfill requirements for the Brownies Bugs badge. Registration required.

Inniswood Metro Gardens

940 S. Hempstead Road, Westerville

Sunny Sundays, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sundays at the Herb Garden. Members of the Herb Society of America, Central Ohio Unit will answer visitors' questions.

Metro Five-0: Level 2 Fall Fruits, 2 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Innis House. Visitors ages 50 and older can get to know fall fruits, from native plants with edible fruits to ornamentals with berries.

Rocky Fork Metro Park

7180 Walnut St., Westerville

Scouts Only: 2-mile Hike, noon Sept. 16 at the Millstone Shelter. Scouts in grades 2-4 will learn about plants and animals, and practice the "leave no trace" principles.

Scioto Audubon Metro Park

400 W. Whittier St., Columbus

Late Nights at the Climbing Wall, second and fourth Fridays at the Climbing Wall. The climbing wall will stay open until midnight for Late Nights at the Climbing Wall programs, which will be held through October. There will be four auto belays, but climbers must bring their own climbing harness. Late night fishing also is available from the dock on the Scioto River.

Pre-K Storytime, 10 a.m. Thursdays and Saturdays at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center, 505 W. Whittier St. Bring little ones for a nature-inspired story or two.

Birdwatching for Beginners, 10 a.m. Saturdays at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center. Guests will learn how to use binoculars and search for birds.

Art at the Audubon: Jim McCormac, 10 a.m. Sept. 13 at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center. Guests can view the work of naturalist and artist Jim McCormac. The show will be on display from Sept. 13 through Oct. 28.

Slate Run Living Historical Farm

1375 state Route 674 N., Canal Winchester

Homeschoolers: Now and Then, 1 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Farmhouse. Guests can compare the way a modern family does its work and spends leisure time with what was available to a farm family in the 1880s.

Drying Food, 1 p.m. Sept. 15 and 16 at the Farmhouse. Guests can learn about drying as a way to preserve food in the 1880s and see how a 19th century food evaporator works.
