Additional details and/or comments from band director:
The brand-new Berlin Bears Marching Band is beyond excited to begin our inaugural 2018-19 season.
Director Michael Reeves, previously director at Fredericktown High School, is looking forward to establishing the traditions for the new band program and is anxious to start the process of building a band program from the ground up.
“The band will not graduate a senior class this year (as will the entire school) so they will look to their junior class as student leaders this season.
The class of 2020 has demonstrated amazing leadership throughout the first week of practices and has a lot of great ideas moving forward. The Bears will be a noncompetitive, show-style marching band.
High-step precision marching, exciting music from all different eras and genres and choreographed dance-breaks will be staples of this new, high-energy band.
The band would like to thank the OLSD administration, principal Todd Spinner, the entire OBHS staff and our entire Olentangy community for showing such tremendous support for our new school and our new band program.
