The Westerville Area Chamber is excited to announce a couple of happenings within the membership this month.
First, we welcome our newest board of trustees who were elected earlier in September: Bill Comisford, Maloney + Novotny; Angie Bridges, Mount Carmel/Health South Medical Rehabilitation Hospital; Laurie Eberly, Nationwide Children's Hospital at Westerville; Tom Harris, HMB; Alli Redinger, Robin Enterprises; Scott Starek, Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel; Eric Stolly, Stolly Insurance Group and Dr. John Comerford, Otterbein University.
It is through our board's direction and leadership that we've been able to enhance our business climate and quality of life within the Westerville area for more than 50 years.
The chamber is also pleased to announce that the application period for the Chamber Awards is now open.
Applications are available online at the chamber website, westervillechamber.com, to download the nomination forms for Business Person, Young Professional and Large and Small Business of the Year.
Nominations are due by late November and the winners for each will be announced at our Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon on Jan. 31 at the Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel, 409 Altair Parkway. The luncheon will be proceeded by a seminar with local business owner Beth Thomas, Change 4 Growth, and author of "Powered by Happy: How to Get and Stay Happy at Work."
Some events to put on the calendar include:
* Women in Business Luncheon, featuring Nancy Kramer, Chief Evangelist, IBM iX, Oct. 17 at Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel beginning at 11:15 a.m.
