The Whitehall Division of Police are seeking public assistance to identify a man who robbed a bank.

A masked man entered Huntington Bank, 4550 E. Broad St., at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 26, according to police.

He jumped over a counter, ordered a teller to the floor and demanded money, Sgt. John Grebb said.

The man struck two of the employees with a handgun, causing injury, and ran away with an undisclosed amount of money.

The bag of money contained a dye pack that exploded as the man was running away from the bank, police said.

The man was wearing a purple or blue bandana, a black-hooded sweatshirt, white gloves and a black hat. He was described as 6-foot-5 with a thin build and in his mid-20s.

Video surveillance cameras showed the man got into a vehicle, possibly a Ford Fusion, light green or gray and manufactured in the mid-2000s.

The vehicle has damage to the front fender and the front passenger tire is a "doughnut" spare tire, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Whitehall police at 614-237-6333.
