To mark the 50th anniversary of the horror movie classic "Night of the Living Dead," the Arts Council of Westerville in partnership with Otterbein University will show the film at 7 p.m. Oct. 19.

Karen Steigman, director of the Film Studies Program at Otterbein, and Patricia Frick, professor in the Department of English, will provide an introduction, discuss how the film was made and consider its impact on the horror movie genre.

The presentation will be held at the Point facility at Otterbein, 60 Collegeview Road. Refreshments and popcorn will be provided.

The screening is free with a donation of $5 suggested.

Movie buffs can celebrate the approach of Halloween by watching characters in an old farmhouse fight off bloodthirsty, flesh-eating monsters.
