Following are Columbus and Franklin County Metropolitan Park District programs for Nov. 1-8.

Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

1775 Darby Creek Drive, Galloway

National Bison Day, 1 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Nature Center. Guests can participate in crafts, games and snacks, and learn about the national mammal and meet the herd on a short walk. Check the website for details.

Blacklick Woods Metro Park

6975 E. Livingston Ave., Reynoldsburg

Nature Babies, 10 a.m. Nov. 1 at the Nature Center. Children ages 2 and younger can enjoy stories about nature, learn some nature signs in American Sign Language and practice singing.

Morning Coffee and Wildlife Watch, 8 a.m. Nov. 3 at the Nature Center. Guests can view animals through the nature center windows and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Art in the Park: Nature Drawing, 6 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Beech Maple Lodge. Guests can draw an autumn nature scene. Materials will be provided.

Blendon Woods Metro Park

4265 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Westerville

Nature Print Contest, 1 p.m. Nov. 3 and 4 at the Nature Center. Guests can view the entries and cast votes for the People's Choice Award.

Off-Trail Adventure: Explore Big Walnut Creek Parkland, 1 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Nature Center. Guests can take a rugged hike through Big Walnut Creek Parkland. The group will caravan from the Nature Center.

Glacier Ridge Metro Park

9801 Hyland Croy Road, Plain City

Walk and Woof, 2 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Shelter House. Guests can go on a 2.5-mile hike with their dog.

Highbanks Metro Park

9466 U.S. Route 23 N., Lewis Center

For Adults: Wildlife Wander, 1 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Mansion Shelter. Guests can look for signs of wildlife while going off-trail.

For Families: Lantern Stroll, 6:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Nature Center. Guests can carry lanterns to light the way on a 1-mile hike on the Dripping Rock Trail.

Wildlife Wander Off-Trail Hike, 2 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Mansion Shelter. Guests can go off-trail to look for signs of wildlife.

Storytime: Winter is Coming!, 10 a.m. Nov. 5 at the Nature Center. Guests can listen to some stories about animals preparing for winter.

Nature Scavenger Hunt, 10 a.m. Nov. 6 at the Nature Center. Visitors can complete a scavenger hunt on Election Day and win a prize.

Homestead

4675 Cosgray Road, Hilliard

Native Animals in Urdu/Hindi, 2 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Nature Center. Guests can see live animals and learn about native Ohio wildlife in English, Urdu and Hindi.

For Kids: Campfire and Scavenger Hunt, noon Nov. 6 at the Nature Center. Children ages 3-16 can earn a prize by checking all items off a list and make s'mores around the campfire.

Inniswood Metro Gardens

940 S. Hempstead Road, Westerville

Sunny Sundays, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sundays at the Herb Garden. Members of the Herb Society of America, Central Ohio Unit will answer visitors' questions.

Evening Garden Walk, 4 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Gardens Entrance. Guests can take a guided stroll through the gardens.

Meet the Artist, 2 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Innis House. Guests can meet fiber artist Susan Nash at a reception and view her work.

Scioto Audubon Metro Park

400 W. Whittier St., Columbus

Pre-K Storytime, 10 a.m. Thursdays and Saturdays at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center, 505 W. Whittier St. Bring little ones for a nature-inspired story or two.

Birdwatching for Beginners, 10 a.m. Saturdays at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center. Guests will learn how to use binoculars and search for birds.

The Super Powers of Solar Panels, 6:30 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Grange Insurance Audubon. Guests can learn about the importance of solar panels with Third Sun Solar and how they help create bird-friendly communities.

Sharon Woods Metro Park

6911 Cleveland Ave., Westerville

Go Wild Kids Club: Night Hike, 7 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Schrock Lake West Bulletin Board. Children ages 5-12 can discover the wonders of the night on a 1-mile hike.

Creature Feature: Turkeys, 2 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Spring Hollow Lodge. Guests can learn the difference between a wattle and a snood and take a short hike in search of wild turkeys.

Slate Run Living

Historical Farm

1375 state Route 674 N., Canal Winchester

A Stitch in Time, 1 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Farmhouse. Guests can watch or help as the farm staff mends, does handwork and uses the treadle sewing machine.

Three Creeks Park

3860 Bixby Road, Groveport

For Adults: Off-Trail Adventure, 10 a.m. Nov. 3 at the Confluence Area. Guests can explore rarely seen parts of the park on a 2.5-mile hike.

Scout Day: Webelos Into the Woods, 2 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Confluence Area. Scouts can do activities that meet some of the requirements for the Webelos Into the Woods Adventure.
