A house fire reported last night, Nov. 6, in Washington Township resulted in one person being transported to the hospital, according to Leslie Dybiec, communications manager for Washington Township.

A neighbor at 10:59 p.m. reported the fire at a home on Loch More Court, Dybiec said. Washington Township Fire Department responded, along with fire departments from Concord and Liberty townships, the city of Columbus and Box 15, a resource-support unit for fire departments.

Responders found a woman inside the home who was unconscious and unresponsive, Dybiec said, and she was transported to Dublin Methodist Hospital.

The fire was contained at 11:50 p.m., and the Dublin Police Department secured the scene throughought the night so Washington Township fire inspectors could investigate, Dybiec said.

The cause of the fire remains unknown and the investigation is ongoing, said Dybiec, who didn't comment on the woman's condition.
