New Albany Police Department officers are investigating two thefts reported to have occurred at the same location on the 9200 block of Smith's Mill Road, and they believe the incidents are related, according to police clerk Lauren Johnson.

In the first incident, a purse, spare change, $60 in cash, a debit card and personal documents were reported stolen at 7:08 p.m. Nov. 20.

In the second incident, a coat valued at $100 was reported stolen at 8:17 p.m. Nov. 20.

In other recent New Albany police incident reports:

* A computer-hacking crime was reported at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 25 on the 200 block of Market Street.

* A 40-year-old Cleveland Heights woman was arrested and charged with OVI and open container after a traffic stop at 11:11 p.m. Nov. 24 at Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road and U.S. Route 62.

* A 25-year-old Columbus man was arrested and charged with OVI and open container after officers at 7:10 p.m. Nov. 24 responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle and person. The man also had a warrant from the Columbus Division of Police for a traffic offense.

* A Cunningham Drive resident reported menacing and telecommunications harassment at 6:18 p.m. Nov. 23.

* A resident on the 5000 block of Hearthstone Park Drive at 5:09 p.m. Nov. 23 told police someone opened an account with FedEx in her name and made three shipments totaling $231.68.

* A 27-year-old Westerville woman was arrested for OVI after a traffic stop at 12:36 a.m. Nov. 22 at East Dublin-Granville and Fodor roads.

* A 22-year-old Columbus woman was arrested for a New Albany-issued traffic warrant at 3:19 p.m. Nov. 20 on the 12000 block of Worthington Road NW.

She also was charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substances after officers searched her and she admitted she had heroin and drug paraphernalia.

* Oxycodone and lorazepam pills valued at $1,509 were reported stolen at 1:07 p.m. Nov. 19 in the 8300 block of Camile Road.
