A 16-year-old Pataskala girl said someone stole a backpack out of her car at 1:14 p.m. Nov. 20 while it was parked at a business in the 2900 block of Taylor Road Southwest.
She told police she was shopping for about 20 minutes and came out to find the backpack missing. She said the car might have been unlocked.
Items in the backpack included a phone charger, a graphing calculator, school supplies and clothes, she told police.

* Police are investigating an incident at a local restaurant where a man carrying a gun deliberately dumped a large glass of soda onto the floor.
According to the police report and a surveillance video, the man walked into the restaurant in the 6300 block of East Main Street at 3:09 p.m. Nov. 19 and filled up a large glass of soda.
He then dumped the soda onto the restaurant floor.
An employee saw a gun in the man's pocket during the incident, although a sign posted outside notifies patrons that firearms are prohibited from being carried inside.
Witnesses described the man as "skinny and black," and said a heavier black man accompanied him. Both men left in a red Escalade, according to the police report.
* Officers checked out a suspicious car at 1:18 a.m. Nov. 21 while it was parked in the 2600 block of Taylor Road Southwest. The driver, a 31-year-old Pickerington man, was charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug instruments.
* Police charged an 18-year-old Reynoldsburg woman with domestic violence and assault after an incident at 7:33 p.m. Nov. 18 in the 800 block of Millstream Drive.
