Isn't it funny how different we humans can be?

There's Jane Timken, on cloud nine because she's been selected chair of the Ohio Republican Party, while I'm embarrassed that prior to 1964 I was actually a registered Republican. But back then the GOP, when Medicare was enacted the following year, didn't vow to take it down.

Today that same party would like to repeal the Affordable Care Act, impacting more than 20 million citizens.

At the same time, showing a deplorable lack of empathy, they want to give themselves more tax breaks. Perhaps in time the tax code can be changed for them so that none of the rich have to pay any taxes, a la Trump!

I've watched with amazement as the middle class continues to vote into the highest offices, statewide and nationwide, the party whose main goal is to give more and more in tax breaks and riches to the wealthy, at the expense of those who already have less, some of whom are struggling to just survive.

When is this country going to wake up?
