I found some of the language in May 24 Dispatch.com article about Sen. Rob Portman supporting Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel for U.S. Senate to be inaccurate. Portman is referenced as Ohio’s “moderate” senator when his actions are anything but moderate.

First, he supports virtually every move made by President Donald Trump who is certainly not a moderate, and voted for every Trump cabinet nominee when it was clear that several nominees had no qualifications for the position and others had lied during their confirmation hearing.

Now he announces his support for Mandel. Does this mean that Portman also supports Mandel’s hate speech and Islamophobia? Does this mean that Portman supports Mandel’s use of $1.7 million in taxpayer money last year for advertisements to promote himself ahead of declaring his candidacy for higher office?

Does this mean that Portman supports Mandel circumventing the intent of requirements to seek Ohio Controlling Board approval for expenditure requests of more than $50,000 of state funds, by paying for ads in increments of just under $50,000 each? And Portman is a moderate?
