Jerome Hunter, a 6-foot-7 senior forward from Pickerington High School North, announced July 17 via Twitter that he has committed to play basketball at Indiana University.

“I truly appreciate all the schools that have recruited me, the relationships with coaching staffs and everyone who have supported me to this point. After long consideration and talks with my family I’ve decided to commit to Indiana University #GO HOOSIERS,” he wrote.

As a junior, Hunter had 21 double-doubles, averaging 19.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.9 rebounds. He was first-team all-OCC, second-team all-district and honorable mention all-state.

The Panthers finished 21-7, losing to Pickerington Central 75-58 in a Division I regional final.
