Senior linebacker Bryce Houston will miss the remainder of the season for the Olentangy Orange High School football team after tearing the ACL and meniscus in his right knee Oct. 20 during the fourth quarter of a 25-24 loss to Olentangy Liberty.
Houston also said Oct. 23 that he will miss the coming wrestling season.
An Ohio University football recruit, Houston leads the Pioneers with 56 tackles. He also has three sacks, 9.5 tackles for loss, one interception, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and five pass breakups.
The Pioneers are 8-1 overall and 3-1 in the OCC-Buckeye Division. They close the regular season Friday, Oct. 27, at Westerville South and are in line for a Division I, Region 2 playoff berth.
As a junior in wrestling, Houston placed seventh at 220 pounds in the Division I state tournament.
