The Westerville North High School girls soccer and girls volleyball programs will be looking for new coaches, according to athletics director Wes Elifritz.

Brett Weiss is leaving the girls soccer program after five seasons, and Dylan Johnson has stepped down after two seasons with the girls volleyball program.

“Brett Weiss resigned from girls soccer due to family reasons as his son is getting older and he wants to make sure he doesn't miss out on his athletic opportunities,” Elifritz said. “Dylan Johnson resigned his girls volleyball position to pursue a job opportunity in Arkansas. Both positions will be posted in the new year.”

The girls soccer team finished 8-8-2 overall this fall, losing to Olentangy 2-1 on Oct. 24 in a Division I district semifinal. The Warriors tied Olentangy Liberty for third (2-2-1) in the OCC-Buckeye Division behind champion Olentangy Orange (4-1).

The girls volleyball team finished 7-16 overall, losing to Watkins Memorial 27-25, 25-17, 25-11 on Oct. 17 in the first round of the Division I district tournament. The Warriors tied Westerville South for fifth (1-9) in the OCC-Buckeye behind co-champions Liberty and Orange (both 9-1).
