Less than a week before starting her junior season, Dublin Coffman High School girls basketball standout Jacy Sheldon has made her college decision.

On Nov. 19 in a Twitter post, Sheldon announced that she’ll play for Ohio State as part of its 2019 class.

“I’m so excited to be able to commit to such a great program with great coaches,” Sheldon said. “It has always been a dream of mine to play for the Buckeyes.”

The 5-foot-8 guard was named the ThisWeek Super 12 captain last season after averaging 23.1 points and helping the Shamrocks to a Division I regional runner-up finish.

Heading into her junior season, Sheldon has 960 career points. She tied the program record when she scored 37 points in a 95-63 victory over Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary last January.

Sheldon, who averaged 12.4 points and also made the Super 12 as a freshman, was the district and OCC-Central Division Player of the Year last season.
