Although three teams in last week’s Super 7 boys basketball rankings lost over the past seven days, no new teams have moved into the poll.

One of the teams that didn’t lose, Pickerington North, remains at No. 1.

The Panthers earned wins over two Super 7 squads, Beechcroft on Jan. 6 and Dublin Coffman on Jan. 9, while Upper Arlington lost to Olentangy on Jan. 9.

Coffman moves up to No. 2 after beating Olentangy 69-56 on Jan. 6 and taking North to the brink before losing 91-88 in three overtimes.

Swapping spots with Beechcroft is Hilliard Bradley, which now is at No. 4 while the Cougars are fifth.

In the girls rankings, the top six teams won all of their games over the past week.

New to the poll is Westerville Central, which replaces Westerville South at No. 7 and is 10-1.

Jim Morgan looks like an obvious candidate for Division I district Coach of the Year after taking over a Warhawks team that went just 1-22 last season.
