Amanda Mosely has been named girls volleyball coach at Westerville North High School, pending school board approval.

Mosely, who teaches business at North, coached Licking Heights from 2008-15, winning MSL-Cardinal Division titles in 2012 and 2013, and was an assistant at Westerville Central in 2016. She did not coach last fall.

“We’re really excited to get someone of Amanda’s experience, and we’re happy with how well she fits in at North,” athletics director Wes Elifritz said. “We have had a good tradition in the past at North and we’re proud of what Dylan Johnson did for us in the past couple of seasons. We’re in a tough (OCC-Buckeye) division, and we want to hit the reset button and get that positive mindset back.”

Mosely replaces Dylan Johnson, who compiled a 12-33 record in two seasons with the Warriors.

Last season, North finished 7-16 overall after losing to Watkins Memorial 27-25, 25-17, 25-11 in the first round of the Division I district tournament. The Warriors went 1-9 in the OCC-Buckeye to tie Westerville South for fifth, behind co-champions Olentangy Liberty and Olentangy Orange (both 9-1).
