Westerville North High School is searching for coaches to lead two of its spring programs — softball and boys tennis.

Caitie Fackler resigned after two seasons with the softball team. Under Fackler, the Warriors went 28-25 overall and 8-12 in the OCC-Buckeye Division. This spring, North finished 13-14 overall and 3-7 in the league to tie Olentangy Orange and Westerville South for fourth behind champion Olentangy (8-2).

“Caitie left for personal reasons and shared that with our softball girls (June 12),” athletics director Wes Elifritz said. “We were happy with what she accomplished in her two seasons and didn’t want to see her leave, but she is doing what is best for her family. We are looking ahead at potential candidates in the coming days.”

Uy Nguyen led the boys tennis program for just one season. This spring, the Warriors finished 3-11 overall and 1-4 in the OCC-Buckeye to tie South and Westerville Central for fourth behind champion Orange (5-0).

Nguyen’s son, Reese Nguyen, was a member of the Warriors’ tennis team but graduated last month.
