The Dublin Jerome High School football team closed its season Oct. 26 on a positive note, beating visiting Worthington Kilbourne 26-6.

The Celtics finished 5-5 overall and 4-3 in the OCC-Cardinal Division, fourth behind champion Hilliard Bradley (7-0).

Quarterback Ryan Miller completed 10 of 21 passes for 173 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 64 yards and a score on 18 carries to lead Jerome.

Trey Ballengee had six receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown and Ryan Prochko rushed for 99 yards on 14 carries as the Celtics outgained the Wolves 432-123 in total yards.

Scott Sonnanstine had an interception to lead Jerome's defense.

The Celtics, who won four of their final five games, finished 11th in Division I, Region 2, three spots shy of a playoff berth.
