Jacob Moeller and Jalen Weitzel connected for three touchdowns, but the Olentangy Berlin High School football team lost to Thomas Worthington 27-24 on Oct. 26 in the season finale.

The visiting Bears lost their ninth consecutive contest to finish 1-9 overall and 0-7 in the OCC-Cardinal Division, behind champion Hilliard Bradley (7-0).

Moeller, a sophomore quarterback, hooked up with Weitzel, a junior wide receiver, for touchdowns of 35, 31 and 26 yards. Moeller completed 11 of 20 passes for 249 yards with two interceptions and also threw a two-point conversion pass to junior tight end Brandon Wiehe.

Weitzel finished with seven catches for 169 yards, and junior running back Johnny Spinner rushed 27 times for 59 yards. Junior wide receiver Corey Hill caught two passes for 44 yards.

Junior linebacker Trevor Scott led the defense with 6.5 tackles, and Weitzel and junior defensive lineman Jake Hill both had six tackles. Weitzel also plays defensive back.
