Dublin Arts Council, inaugural D'Art Dash 5K Run/Walk to benefit DAC educational programming, 9 a.m. Oct. 11 at the Dublin Community Recreation Center, 5600 Post Road. Dress as a favorite artist or create a costume inspired by a favorite piece of artwork. Prizes will be awarded to the most creative costumes in both individual and group categories, although costumes are optional for participating in the event. Strollers will be allowed on the course for this family-friendly run/walk. Well-behaved dogs on non-retractable leashes are also welcome.
