See the window decorations at the businesses in the Short North. I really love this "Let It Snow" one that's featured in the windows of Flower Child, 989 N. High St. If you haven't been there, I highly recommend stopping in this vintage store to see the furnishings, toys and tableware they have. You never know what you'll see!
Short North Holiday Hop If you're looking to get in the holiday mood, head to the Short North on Saturday for the annual Holiday Hop event. The event will feature holiday specials and treats including street performers, a chance to to get a photo with Santa for Facebook and Make a Wish video for YouTube. Although the "Hop" usually runs from 4 to 10 p.m., it will begin at 11 a.m. on Dec. 4. The special events begin at 5 p.m. You can also enjoy seeing the "arches" that line the area lit up in a special show at 6 p.m. *Don't forget to enter to win a chance to go on a $2,500 shopping spree courtesy of Time Warner. Try out Tech Gadgets The Old Worthington Library, 820 High St., will offer a free "Technology Petting Zoo" where participants can try out smartphones, eReaders, iPods and gaming systems. It's a great way to see if you like some of the new tech gadgets before you buy them. The event takes place Sunday, Dec. 5 from 1 to 3 p.m. Staff members will be on hand to answer questions. ***Two new gaming devices, the XBox Kinect and PlayStation Move will both be available to try out.
