A local restaurateur has plans for the vacant Rally’s on Sawmill Road. Attorney Gary B. Gitlitz has filed for a rezoning that would expand the square footage from 900 to 1,500 and allow for seating inside the building, 4799 Sawmill Road. A drive-through would remain, according to the plan. The place has been vacant for less than a year, Gitlitz said. He wouldn’t name the restaurateur but said he expects to have a lease in place next week.
