Tour the enCORE Solar Decathlon house at Ohio State. The house has numerous green and energy efficient features.
Perhaps you'll recall the former solar decathlon house built by OSU that was at The Columbus Zoo & Aquarium. Now, they have a new house that sits behind the 4-H building on the OSU campus.
The house features:
• 8kw photovoltaic array
• Passive solar design (Use of sunlight for lighting and heat)
• Student-built with advance framing
• Accessible for installation of experimental components
• Innovative mechanical systems.
The house is currently open for tours by appointment. Sustainable Clintonville has a planned tour of the house coming up. To schedule a tour, visit solardecathlon.osu.edu/contact or call the Office of Energy and Environment at 614-247-4762.
