With the school year and fall football practice preparing to start next month, you can bet that a few central Ohio players will make their verbal commitments.

The next two dominoes to fall could be Ready's Brady Taylor and Westerville Central's Nick Richardson.

I checked in with both Ready coach Joel Cutler and Westerville Central coach John Magistro on Monday, and both tell me they expect their players to make their selections probably before the season starts in late August.

Taylor, a 6-5, 264-pounder who according to Cutler has shown tremendous dedication in the weight room the past few months, is sifting through offers from Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. According to Cutler, Taylor has at times shown an affinity for Virginia Tech; at other times, he's seemed most interested in Kentucky.

Kentucky has a new coaching staff that's headed by Mark Stoops, who has hit the Ohio recruiting trail hard the last few months. Stoops, of course, is originally from northeast Ohio.

Richardson is 6-4, 285, and also is looking at Kentucky. Others on his list include West Virginia, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Michigan State, Maryland, Indiana, Illinois, Cincinnati and some MAC schools.
